Its not too late to
register for trade Finance Conference featuring Ambassador Richard Fisher. The
event is Wednesday, September 19 at the DFW Harvey Hotel. Titled
"Structured Trade Finance Demystified," this conference will explain
how to provide competitive U. S. medium and long term financing to foreign buyers
of U. S. durable goods and services. This is the first time in North Texas that
lenders, insurers and government agencies from around the country will present
together, in practical terms and through concrete cases, the export finance tools
available to U. S. exporters of capital goods.
Ambassador
Richard Fisher will be the keynote speaker at the luncheon during the conference
and will discuss the state of the economy for trade in Latin America and China.
Ambassador Fisher served as Deputy United States Trade Representative with primary
responsibility for Asia, Latin America and Canada from December 1997 until January
2001. During this period, Ambassador Fisher was the chief operating officer of
the U. S. government for NAFTA, the largest trade agreement of the U. S., accounting
for 40% of U. S. exports and 30% of U. S. imports.
