Campaign yields 500% increase in new memberships

The Greater Dallas Chamber ended its 15-week Chamber Resource Campaign with a victory celebration on June 18 at Dave & Buster's restaurant. The campaign generated a 500 percent increase in new memberships with a total of over $370,000 - a record for the Chamber from this effort.

The campaign builds the Chamber's membership base and provides the financial resources necessary to implement the Chamber's program of work. Volunteers who brought in the most new members, donations and renewals competed for prizes including the grand prize of a trip for two to New Orleans.

The campaign raised $375,282 through the hard work and dedication of volunteers representing eighteen member companies: JP Morgan Chase, Bank One, TXU/Oncor, Alon USA, Ambassadors Club, Austin Industries, Children's Medical Center, OxyChem, Jackson Walker, Coca Cola Bottling Group of North Texas, Comerica, Jenkens & Gilchrist, Lopez Garcia Group, TDIndustries, Turner Corporation, Wells Fargo, Grant Thornton LLP, and The Staubach Company.

Campaign Chair Robert Chereck, president of Wells Fargo Bank Dallas, attributed the success of the campaign to dedicated volunteers who helped the business community recognize the importance of being an active member of a premier business leadership organization that serves the Dallas area and an eight-county region.
