Robert A. Chereck

Robert A. Chereck is Dallas regional president and commercial banking manager for the Texas Area of Wells Fargo
Bank (formerly First Interstate Bank). He is responsible for all commercial banking functions in Texas and for energy lending for the company. He manages 10 regional commercial banking offices, which include specialized lending in agriculture and energy.

Mr. Chereck joined First Interstate in 1991, maintaining offices in both Dallas and Houston. Prior to his First Interstate assignments, he had been president of Norwich Financial Associates, managing director of Mason Best Company and executive vice president at Interfirst Bank Dallas, N.A.

At Interfirst, his responsibilities included manager of the Dallas Corporate Division, manager of the Energy Lending Group, Eastern Corporate Group and Southwest Group, and group manager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, operating through the bank's London office.

Mr. Chereck earned a bachelor's degree and was graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Texas at Austin, where he also received his M.B.A. degree.

Tony Affuso
Chairman, CEO and President, UGS

Tony Affuso is chairman, CEO and president of UGS. The company is a leading global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services with nearly four million licensed seats and 46,000 customers worldwide.

Mr. Affuso joined the company in 2000, when it was known as Unigraphics Solutions Inc. In 2001, EDS acquired the company and merged it with Structural Dynamics Research Corporation (SDRC). The merger formed a PLM line of business known as UGS PLM Solutions, and Affuso continued as president and CEO.

In 2004, Affuso guided the company through another evolution when the private equity group Bain Capital, Silver Lake Partners and Warburg Pincus acquired UGS PLM Solutions and changed its name to UGS.

Mr. Affuso's previous positions include:

  • Director of strategic planning and technology development at EDS
  • EDS division president of the C4 Program on the General Motors account, planning and implementing a state-of-the-art IT infrastructure to modernize vehicle development
  • Manager of Advanced CAD/CAM Technology at Xerox, where he successfully automated the design and tooling process in its copier divisions.
    After earning his Bachelor of Science degree at Rochester Institute of Technology, Mr. Affuso developed custom manufacturing automation systems for IBM and Cogar Corp.

Mr. Affuso serves on the board of Southern Methodist University's School of Engineering in Dallas. He also enjoys bicycling, fishing and equity investing in his free time. He resides in Frisco, Texas with his wife, Lorraine.
