Business partners needed

The Chamber is currently recruiting business partners for our Dallas ISD Texas Scholars program. The Texas Scholars program allows business and community leaders to enter 8th grade classrooms to discuss the importance of current decision making for the future of these students. A PowerPoint presentation is provided for volunteers that will practically outline life after high school including workforce and college options.

The program requires one day of time on the part of the volunteers, but the impact is huge! A mutually agreed upon day is chosen between the school counselors and the volunteers over the two week span of October 15-26.  This allows the volunteers to enter classrooms and to make presentations as well as connect with students on a personal level.

There are four remaining schools that need business partners, so please contact Lindsay Moffett at lmoffett@dallaschamber.org or 214-712-1945 for more information or to sign up!

Thank you to all of our sponsors this year!
