Regional Workforce Update

The Chamber's first annual State of the Workforce will begin with a breakout session with Richard Froeschle, Deputy Director of the Labor Market and Career Information department of the Texas Workforce Commission.  Mr. Froeschle will provide an update on the state and local workforce and education systems.  This breakout session will be followed by a luncheon panel discussion with community leaders.

Luncheon panelists include:

  • Dr. Cathy Bryce, Superintendent of Highland Park ISD
  • Fran Eichorst, Regional General Manager & VP Human Resources, Fidelity Investments Southwest Region
  • Lee Jackson, Chancellor of the University of North Texas
  • Terdema Ussery, President & CEO of the Dallas Mavericks; CEO of HDNet

The panel will be moderated by Justin Farmer with WFAA TV.

The panel will address the above questions and potential solutions for gaps that are indicated by the facts presented.  The stress of this luncheon will be the necessity for the workforce and education entities in the region to work toward more effective communication.  Historically, these two groups have functioned as silos, and therefore the need to start bridging that gap is a necessity.

The event will be held at the Adam's Mark Hotel (400 Olive Street, Dallas).  The morning breakout session will be held from 10 AM - 11:30 AM followed by a luncheon from 12 - 1:30 PM.
