Mid-sized firms briefed on compliance in payment card industry

David Puzas, marketing executive for IBM Security Global Programs & Services, kicked off the Chamber's Keep I.T. Simple Breakfast Series April 24 by addressing compliance issues in the payment card industry.

Attending were IT managers, technology executives, owners and business executives of local mid-sized employers.

All organizations that process, store or transmit payment card information face payment card industry (PCI) compliance. How does a mid-market organization, with little or no IT staff to constantly monitor security, provide protection of customer and company sensitive data from rapidly advancing Internet threats?  Puzas emphasized the importance of taking a proactive approach by adopting solutions that secure your business while simultaneously reducing business risk, improving productivity and reducing costs and complexity.  Following the session, attendees were offered a complimentary 30-day Security Healthscan to assess the current state of their organization’s security.

The Chamber continues to offer thought leadership with the remaining events in the series, covering innovation on May 22 and transforming the workforce on June 12.  All events are complimentary to invited guests; for more information and to RSVP, please contact Jennifer Stetter at (214) 746-6623 or jstetter@dallaschamber.org.
