Business, principals team up to learn from each other, share success
When business leaders partner with school principals, good things happen. Just ask anyone who’s part of the Principal Executive Partnership.

Principal Executive Partnership is an innovative mentoring concept that has evolved into a program benefiting both business professionals and school principals. The Partnership helps build relationships between the business sector and public schools by pairing principals with business executives to address current issues affecting schools and businesses today. Business professionals and school principals learn from each other by exchanging thoughts, ideas and experiences regularly.

“Participating in this program gives business professionals the opportunity to better understand the issues and challenges our principals, teachers and staff face on a daily basis,” says Ben Simmons of TDIndustries and a long-time participant. “It also serves as a window for principals to gain insight into the business world. Principal Executive Partnership helps us appreciate each other for the work each is doing.”

The business executive and the principal meet regularly to exchange information and share leadership skills, helping both parties grow. The pair also attends quarterly meetings with other members to discuss issues at the forefront of education, share possible solutions and celebrate accomplishments.

The program is open to a limited number of principals and senior-level executives.
