D/FW rated tops in U.S. for corporate relocations, expansions
The Dallas/Fort Worth region has been recognized by Site Selection Magazine as America’s number-one market for new and expanded corporate facilities in 2004. A total of 277 companies (well over one-third of all Texas’ 2004 relocations/expansions) chose the region to expand and relocate in 2004, with a total investment of more than $3 billion.

Local employment jumps 58,400; area economy on the way up
Strong employment data for Dallas/Fort Worth from the Texas Workforce Commission supports the growing confidence among local business leaders. The newly defined Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington metro area gained 58,400 net new wage and salary jobs between January, 2004 and January, 2005.
